ONE STITCH AT A TIME

SPONSOR:  Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet
PRIZE:  December Digital Prize Pack
CHALLENGE:  Anything Goes with Stitching
DIGI:  Praying Mouse

When I saw this l'il meeser all that came to my mind was Fiffel.  I just loved that little meeser.  I also am not afraid of mice, living in the country.  I thought he was adorable!

I love sewing so I decided to use the different stabilizers to adhere fabric of "not so nice" cats on the prowl, then more stabilizer to give the cats height.  This was my form of "stitching" - to use fabric and stitching/sewing products and methods.

Hop over to OSAAT to see what the other girls did for STITCHING for some inspirations.

I hope you enjoy.

Best,
Samara

IKE'S WORLD CHALLENGE

MERRY CREEPMAS!
SPONSOR:  Freebie over at IKE'S WORLD CHALLENGE

Oh boy this was tough.  I made a first run on this project that was ummmmm very "to be censored" for most audiences because it was just a bit too HERRODish. But artistic license, it is on MY BLOG only, not the IKE'S WORLD CHALLENGE BLOG.

So I took another run at it, still sitting on the HERROD story, but not being quite as graphic as the story insists.

I hope the irony of the "dark art" does not get wasted for most of you!  If so, my intention is NOT to offend!!!

Pop on over to IWC to see what the other Gals have done and to pick up Ike's Freebie!

Best,
Samara

BE CAUTIONED - THIS IS "DARK ART" THAT IS BASED ON THE IRONY OF THE HERROD STORY

AND THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE
FOR ALL TO REMEMBER...

SANTA'S COMING TO TOWN ALL GLITTERED UP!

ONE STITCH AT A TIME

THE CHALLENGE IS TO USE LACE THIS TIME
(I DID NOT PARTICIPATE - BUT DID SOMETHING ELSE!!!)

where to find this art?
 Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet

My neighbourhood is getting more glorious by the day!  Lights, blown up displays, music displays that are timed to lights and floats going on and off and a Merry Merry all around me.  This was a great time for me to be asked by ALI, a fantastic artiste from Stitchy's to showcase a humourous Santa!

My Teamies have done a wonderful job of their LACE theme at OSAAT each choosing a different way to decorate and embellish in beautiful ways.  You have to pop over and check them all out...great inspiration too.

So get your Santa Hat on, your lacey hat on, or twinkle bits of glitter in your hair cuz this is the time of year to get your glitter on....and to show us whatcha got!  The Prize from the wonderful Stitchy for the LACE CHALLENGE is always worth your hard work...the pack is varied and great.

And for my art, I'd like to thank ALI from ALIPEEPS for entrusting me with her work.  I loved doing two different pieces for her.  I will post the next one tomorrow.

Check ALI out over at STICHY BEAR DIGITAL OUTLET!

IKE'S WORLD CHALLENGE - RAINING CATS AND DOGS

SECOND WEEK
RAINING CATS AND DOGS

For today's challenge I decided to combine fabric and Ike's wonderful Image once again.

I sewed up a pillow for the first image, using canvas and stuffing with batton.  For the second image, I used batton but quilted rather than made a pillow, and got some cat fabric I loved and found rather sexy mexy, like the image Ike sketched up.

I hope you like what I came up with - hop over to Ike's Store and enter Ike's World Challenge.  See you there!
